Full-time Web Designer

Location: Newcastle

Redback Solutions is seeking a full-time web designer to join its creative team. The successful applicant will demonstrate high quality design skills and conceptual flair in a fast-paced and fun environment.

Major responsibilities include:

• Production of design concepts that will be integrated into websites by the development team
• Make amendments / revisions to new concepts and existing website designs
• Review content before a site goes live to make it more aesthetically pleasing
• Design and prepare files for print (business cards, logos, brochures, banners, advertising, etc)
• Create graphic elements for websites (buttons, banners, ads, etc) 
• Design concepts for email newsletter templates

NOTE: Programming skills or experience in building websites are not a requirement to apply for this position.

Essential skills/qualifications: 

• Diploma or Degree in Design (knowledge and understanding of the design fundamentals and foundations)
• Advanced understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels including project managers, development and design team members and clients
• Must be creative 
• Strong time-management skills
• Ability to multi-task between a number of projects
• Have an eye for detail
• A high level of automony

Desirable skills/qualities:

• Strong typography / layout skills
• Illustration skills
• Experience dealing with clients and print companies
• Experience and interest in developing HTML / CSS / Javascript skills
